Ben Cousins

Benjamin Luke Cousins (30 June 1978) is a former AFL player. He started off in the West Coast Eagles but was then terminated for the use of heavy drugs. He then had a year of termination and was then welcomed into the Richmond Tigers. He played for 2 years then announced his retirement in 2010. Cousins was a heavy drug taker but never took them before games. He got drunk a lot but now he is back on his feet after rehab in the States. Cousins took a sleeping pill in 2010 and then collapsed unconscious. He was in hospital for a few days. In 2010, Cousins released his documentary called Such Is Life” focusing on not only his career but how drugs were introduced and how it had affected him. The aim was to make people realise that drugs are wrong. Cousins now lives happily in his retirement. “
