Sally Kirkland

Sally Kirkland (born October 31, 1941) is an American film and television actress. She was named after her mother, who was a fashion editor at Vogue and LIFE magazines, and was raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.She began acting in 1960, and has had roles in many stage productions, movies and TV shows since then. In 1987, she was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress for Anna, for which she won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Drama. Kirkland is a minister in the Church of The Movement of Spiritual Inner Awareness, a health activist, an artist, and teaches yoga, meditation and drama. She currently hosts a radio show on the syndicated HealthyLife Radio Network.
