Opened in 1899, the legendary Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom has brought entertainers of all stripes to the New Hampshire shoreline for more than 100 years. The facility was opened on July 15, 1899 by Wallace D. Lovell, who owned the Exeter, Hampton and Amesbury Street Railway Company, with the hope of bringing more business and tourism into the Hampton Beach area. Today the facility is a landmark of Hampton Beach and is synonymous with the summer report.
During its extended eight month season (April - November), the Ballroom continues to draw some of the top names in entertainment. Recently, the Ballroom placed in the top 30 for worldwide ticket sales in venues under 3,000 seats.
Though it is not yet classified as such, the Hampton Beach Casino is, to many, a historical landmark. It has been and will continue to be the heart of Hampton Beach. It has been the center attraction at one of New England's most popular summer resorts for more than 100 years. See Less
