She has been married to Frank Curtin for 18 years and is a stay-at-home mom for her two teenage daughters, Raquel (18) and Alexa (16)[44]. Her role as a stay-at-home mom and accompanying interpretation of appropriate parenting style is her storyline in season 4. She mentions that her "carefree and laidback" parenting style where she strives to be her daughters' best friend differs greatly from her husband's.
