Hummer H3 is largely unchanged for what is its final model year. General Motors is phasing out the Hummer brand, a process scheduled for completion some time in calendar 2010. H3 comes as a 4-door wagon and a 4-door crew-cab pickup truck called H3T. The truck is larger than Chevrolet's Colorado compact pickup but smaller than the full-size Silverado. Base versions of the H3 wagon and H3T have a 239-horsepower 3.7-liter 5-cylinder engine. The top-line Alpha sports a 300-horsepower 5.3-liter V8 that, for 2010, gains the ability to run on E85 ethanol-blended fuel. A 5-speed manual transmission is standard on the base wagon and pickup. Optional on the Base and standard on the Alpha is a 4-speed automatic. Maximum towing capacity with the 5-cylinder is 3,000 pounds with the manual transmission and 4,500 pounds with the automatic. Alpha has a maximum towing capacity of 6,000 pounds. H3 and H3T come with all-wheel drive that includes low-range gearing for off-road use. See Less
