In 2007, a pair of sunglasses worn by ***** was snapped up at auction by a British collector. Auction organisers refused to divulge how much the gold-rimmed pair of shades sold for but they presumably fetched up to £1million.

News soon spread and interest was sparked from as far afield as the United States, Russia, Japan and Europe, and the demand for similar style shades began to steadily increase.
