On February 25, 2005, the Star-Bulletin ran a story in their Weekend Features section on Clay Aiken's visit to Hawaii. with the heading "Man On A Mission, The Idol alumnus is in Hawaii to champion the cause of disabled kids."
Clay was there for the Bubel/Aiken Foundation's "Voices for Change" gala dinner/fund-raiser at the Sheraton Waikiki. (The Bubel/Aiken Foundation is now know as National Inclusion Project. Clay is a co-founder of the organization.)
He also appeared as a guest speaker at the University of Hawaii Center on Disability Studies' 21st Annual Pacific Rim Conference on Disabilities at the same hotel several days later. See Less
