Leona Louise Lewis (born 3 April 1985) is a British singer and winner of the third series of The X Factor UK television talent show. Her UK debut single, "A Moment like This", was released in December 2006, breaking a world record after it was downloaded over 50,000 times within 30 minutes.
Her debut album, Spirit, was released in 2007, and sold over 8 million copies worldwide. The album's most successful single, "Bleeding Love", reached number one in over 30 countries around the world, and was the best-selling single worldwide in 2008. She was proclaimed 'Top New Artist' by Billboard magazine in 2008. Lewis released her 2nd album, Echo, in 2009. Her third album Glassheart was released 12 October 2012. It was preceded by the single "Collide", which became her 7th top-five hit in the UK. With the release of Hurt: The EP and "Trouble", Lewis has had nine top-ten hits in the UK.
