About this Spot: In the spring of 2010, Clay Aiken participated in a series of public service announcements for the Give a Damn Campaign, which promotes gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender equality by educating and engaging others, especially the American straight community. The Give a Damn Campaign is a project of the True Colors Fund, founded by Cyndi Lauper. Other celebrities that took part include Elton John, Whoopi Goldberg, Jason Mraz, Cynthia Nixon, Anna Paquin, Sharon and Kelly Osbourne, Judith Light, Kim Kardashian, Wanda Sykes, Margaret Cho, Eric Roberts, Eliza Roberts, and Kevin Alejandro.
