Yves Saint Laurent designer Stefano Pilati was most definitely feeling nautical when designing his 2012 resort collection. The runway looks displayed during New York City's fleet week combined two spring time favorites: naval inspired patterns and a poppy flower print, pulled from a 1971 Saint Laurent collection. From outfits to accessories the YSL codes were perfectly mixed with the gold buttons, starfish, ropes, anchors, as well as the sailor jackets and pants. Indeed, from shades of reds to deep blues, the shorts, blouses and dresses were transformed into very feminine gowns for an utterly "seaside meets the city" look.
