Shelby America had a record year in 1965. After victories at Le Mans and Goodwood, Shelby narrowly missed the 1964 championship, vowing to return next year and take it all. In February 1965, Shelby entered four coupes at Daytona. Another Cobra won the GT class and Shelby widened his lead at Monza, finishing 8th overall and 1st in GT. A 2nd and 1st in GT followed at Spa in Belgium and the German Nürburgring, leading up to the 12 Heures du Reims in France. There, Bob Bondurant drove across the finish line to secure the FIA championship for 1965 beating back the biggest names in Motorsports.This shirt is based on the classics Shelby Shirt that was offered for sale and worn by team members in the 1960's. 1965 Also marked the year that the 427 Cobra was launched and the all new Shelby GT350 would change the pony car game.
