Think magical iridescent cream shoulder bags with vintage chain belts (nicknamed "editor's bags" because they fit everything in), buttery suede day bags and sweetly flirty evening clutches tied shut with a sequined bow. "I make bags for women like my friends," says ex-lawyer Kumar, who taught herself to make handbags before launching her label three-and-a-half years ago and showing her wares on the catwalk of hip New York label Doo Ri for two seasons running.
