The Trek 7500 FX comes out of Trek's 'bike path' line, which is a sportier way of saying 'hybrid.' As you would expect from a hybrid/townie, this leans to the heavy side, but the aluminum frame does a good job of preventing this bike from becoming a burden to pick up or ride uphill. I was happy to see that Trek resisted the temptation of further cutting down weight with an aluminum fork and opted to go with a more conservative steel construction. See Less
