The National Movie Awards was a British movie awards ceremony initiated and broadcast by ITV. The awards were initiated following the success of the National Television Awards, a similar awards ceremony for television. Two ceremonies were held in 2007 and 2008 respectively. The first awards were voted for by the public and the ceremony was held on 28 September, 2007 at the Royal Festival Hall in London, presented by Alexander Armstrong. It was broadcast on ITV the following night. The second awards were voted for by the public and the ceremony was held on 8 September 2008 at the Royal Festival Hall in London, presented by James Nesbitt.
