Brett Lorenzo Favre (born on October 10, 1969 in Gulfport, Mississippi) is a former American football player who was the starting quarterback for the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League (NFL) from 1992 to 2007. Favre started at the quarterback position for The University of Southern Mississippi for four years before being selected in the second round of the 1991 NFL Draft by the Atlanta Falcons.
