Teresa Victoria Carpio, more commonly known as T. V. Carpio, is a Chinese/Filipina-American singer, songwriter and actress. She was born in Oklahoma City in 1981. She is the daughter of well-known Hong Kong singer Teresa Carpio, with whom she has performed on stage as a backup singer. T.V. can converse fluently in both English and Cantonese. Her mother has also recorded one of her compositions. Her father is Peter Kan Mui, who co-founded Tungtex (Holdings) Co Ltd, a Hong Kong-based garment maker. He is the President and 49% owner of Yellow River, Inc., a New York-based garment firm which is 51% owned by Tungtex. He also founded Yellowman. See Less
